SMS Communications and Mobile Messaging Privacy

CBPay may send SMS messages to users for account verification, login authentication, phone number verification, fraud prevention, and account security purposes.

Users opt in to receive SMS messages by creating or logging into their CBPay account through the CBPay mobile app or web platform, entering their mobile phone number, and requesting a one-time verification code or initiating an account verification process.

Message frequency varies depending on user login, verification, and account security activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Users may reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages and HELP for assistance.

CBPay does not share, sell, rent, disclose, or otherwise provide mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

CBPay may use service providers solely to deliver and support transactional SMS messages on CBPay's behalf. These providers are not permitted to use mobile phone numbers or messaging consent information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS messages are transactional only and are not used for marketing, promotional, affiliate marketing, or lead generation purposes.

For the avoidance of doubt, regardless of any other provision in this Privacy Policy, CBPay does not use mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent information for advertising, marketing, promotional, affiliate marketing, lead generation, direct lending, or loan-related purposes.

Introduction

This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy" or "Policy") governs the use of User information, privacy and security recommendations, and other aspects of use of the Site http://www.cbpayapp.com. The Terms and Conditions agreement is deemed an integral part of this policy without needing to reproduce it here.

1. User information

1.1 General aspects:

CBPay will request information when you register on the Site. Minimum mandatory information for a natural person includes name, surname, email, national ID, phone, date of birth, and password. For legal entities, business name, address, tax ID, and representative name, surname, email, phone, ID, and date of birth are required. CBPay may remove any user-posted information it deems offensive, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, threatening, obscene, pornographic, or contrary to morals, good customs, or public order.

1.2 Obtaining user information:

CBPay may obtain information directly at registration and/or when the User contacts us via the Contact section or contacto@cbpayapp.com or other CBPay emails. CBPay collects information when the User updates their profile or contacts CBPay, and may obtain information from external sources to provide requested services.

1.3 Access to information on the site:

CBPay gives Registered Users access to legal documents and information about operations performed through the Platform. Registered Users may review personal information anytime in the "User Profile" section.

1.4 Contact list collection and use:

CBPay may collect contact list information only if the User authorizes it, to improve UX and facilitate interaction. It may include names, phone numbers, and emails stored on the device.

2. Use of user information

CBPay will use User information to facilitate and improve Platform operations, provide account access, perform identity verification, prevent fraud, improve security, and communicate with Users about CBPay services. For the avoidance of doubt, CBPay does not use mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent information for advertising, marketing, promotional, affiliate marketing, or lead generation purposes.

3. Security recommendations

3.1 Username:

The username is chosen by the User at registration.

3.2 Personal identification information:

The User Profile will not visibly show national ID number or related contact information. Users must protect username and password, keep them private, and not share them.

3.3 Password:

For security, Users should change passwords frequently and must not share passwords with third parties.

3.4 Site:

Users must access the Site only via http://www.cbpayapp.com.

4. User account and information privacy

Each Registered User has a User Account accessed after authenticating with username and password. Users have a profile where they may publish information about themselves.

5. Sharing information

CBPay will not sell or rent User information to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. CBPay may share information only: 5.1 with insurance companies when necessary for the provision of services; 5.2 with strategic service providers essential to the operation of CBPay services; 5.3 when required by judicial, legal, regulatory, or governmental authorities. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent information are not shared, sold, rented, disclosed, or otherwise provided to third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, affiliate marketing, or lead generation purposes. Service providers that support transactional SMS delivery may use such information only to deliver and support CBPay transactional messages on CBPay’s behalf and may not use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

6. Protection of user information

6.1 Personal identification information:

CBPay uses physical and electronic mechanisms, procedures, and practices to safeguard User information, including encryption or other technologies for data submitted on the Site.

6.2 Storage of information:

CBPay stores information obtained through the Site and other collection mechanisms in databases to provide adequate service, ensure data integrity, and prevent third-party fraud.

7. Communications options

CBPay will send notifications to the User’s email and/or internal Platform messaging related to CBPay services.

8. Cookies

8.1 Definition:

An HTTP cookie is a text fragment exchanged between the browser and the server.

8.2 CBPay cookies:

When visiting CBPay, the IP address used to access the Site is stored with date and time.

8.3 Use of cookies on CBPay:

CBPay uses cookies when the User enters the Site and a session is created, enabling tracking, navigation, and security for the session duration.

8.4 Google Analytics:

CBPay uses Google as a web analytics provider. Google uses cookies to define user sessions and provide key Google Analytics reporting features.

CBPay will take precautions to avoid unsolicited emails.
